Can a foreigner own all shares in a Singapore company?
Many ordinary businesses can use a wholly foreign-owned structure, subject to licensing, regulated-industry, identity and control checks. Foreign clients must engage a registered corporate service provider.
Is a local director mandatory?
Yes. At incorporation, at least one director must meet Singapore local residency requirements. We can coordinate an arrangement through an appropriate registered corporate-service partner, subject to review.
Must I travel to Singapore to incorporate?
Incorporation can often be coordinated remotely through a registered corporate service provider, but identity checks, banking or certain business arrangements may require participation or physical presence.
How long does registration take?
ACRA states that most registrations are approved soon after payment when complete and not referred. Name reviews, regulated activities or referral approvals can take longer.
Is a bank account guaranteed after registration?
No. A company may begin applying after registration, but each bank independently reviews the business, shareholders, directors, source of funds and expected activity. We support documents and appointments only.
Are a company secretary and registered address mandatory?
A Singapore registered address is required, and a company secretary must be appointed within six months of registration. Our first-year support can coordinate both.
What is required after incorporation?
Common obligations include maintaining registers, annual returns, corporate income tax, GST where applicable, accounting records, licences, and filing changes to officers or shareholders. The exact scope depends on the company.
