Can I assess an EP pathway without an existing employer?
A company-setup and genuine-operation business and legal pathway may be assessed, but an individual cannot directly submit an ordinary EP application. An eligible employer or appointed employment agent must submit, and MOM decides.
Does registering a company mean I will get an EP?
No. Incorporation and EP assessment are separate. MOM reviews the candidate, salary, role, COMPASS, employer and genuine business circumstances.
Who formally submits the EP application?
Under MOM rules, the employer or appointed licensed employment agent submits online. We coordinate needs, partner resources and progress.
Is approval guaranteed?
No. Legal assessment, SAT or COMPASS estimates only help assess viability. MOM makes the final decision.
What is COMPASS?
COMPASS is the EP points framework. Unless exempt, an application generally needs at least 40 points after first meeting the qualifying salary.
How long does an application take?
MOM generally processes or updates online applications within 10 business days. Requests for information or complex reviews take longer.
Can an EP holder bring family members?
EP holders who meet prevailing salary and other requirements may apply separately for eligible spouses and children.
Can a rejection be appealed?
The employer or authorised third party that submitted may appeal within 3 months, but should first address the rejection reasons or provide material new information.
